Ingredients for the preparation of artichokes "Ali Polity"

  1. Artichokes (already peeled) 500 gr.
  2. Onion 1 pc.
  3. 2-3 carrots
  4. Potato 5 pcs.
  5. Lemon juice (or one lemon) to taste
  6. Tomato 1 pc.
  7. Dill greens to taste
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Olive oil to taste

Cooking artichokes "Ali Polita":

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients.

Peel and rinse potatoes, carrots and onions. We cut the potatoes into large cubes, carrots into thin slices, and chop the onions and dill finely. Rinse the tomato grate. Cut the lemon in half and survive the juice.

Step 2: Stew the artichokes.

Pour a little olive oil into the pan and set it to warm over medium heat. We spread fried potatoes, carrots, onions and dill. Stir constantly and cook for about six minutes. Then add lemon juice, tomato, mix and spread artichokes on top. Add a little hot (boiled) water (about one glass) and leave to simmer over low heat. under the cover for 40-45 minutes.

Step 3: Serve "Artichokes Alya Polita".

After about 40 minutes, our artichokes are ready. Serve them hot, in order to feel their taste. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - Artichokes are very difficult to clean, besides they quickly blacken, so it’s better to buy already peeled, frozen artichokes and thaw them at room temperature.

- - You can also buy canned artichokes.
