Cooking stuffed turkey drumstick:

Step 1: prepare the turkey thigh.

We wash the turkey thigh under cold running water, dry it with paper kitchen towels, put it on a cutting board and use a kitchen knife for cutting meat to cut it along the bone, while separating the meat from it.

We cut the bone cartilage and completely remove the bone from the hip. Then we beat it with a kitchen mallet, so that the thickness of the piece is reduced to 1 centimeter. After sprinkle on both sides to taste with salt and black pepper. We turn the beaten meat out of the beaten meat, put it in a deep bowl and let it soak in spice and salt.

Step 2: prepare vegetables and cheese.

Using a knife for cutting vegetables, peel onions and cut each rhizome from each fungus. After we wash the vegetables under cold running water from any kind of contamination and dry them with paper kitchen towels from excess moisture. Alternately, lay the onions with mushrooms on a cutting board and cut them into half rings up to 5 millimeters thick. We lay out the slices in separate deep plates.

With a small piece of cheese, cut off the paraffin crust and rub it on a large or medium grater directly into a deep plate. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Step 3: prepare the filling.

Now we turn the stove on to the middle level and put a frying pan with 2 - 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil on it, when the fat warms up, we throw the onion into it and, stirring the vegetable with a wooden kitchen spatula, simmer until transparent, and also until light golden brown. This process will take no more 2 - 3 minutes. After we add mushrooms to the onion and simmer them together until the mushroom juice is completely evaporated.

Once the liquid has evaporated, sprinkle vegetables to taste with salt and black pepper, mix them with a kitchen spatula and move the pan to the side. When the mushrooms with onions have cooled to room temperature, add the crushed cheese to them and with the help of a kitchen spatula we mix all the components of the filling until smooth.

Step 4: form and bake stuffed turkey drumstick.

On the kitchen table, we spread a sheet of food-grade aluminum foil, put the expanded turkey thigh on it with the skin down, lay the whole filling on top, roll the meat with a roll and wrap the stuffed drumstick in food-grade aluminum foil so that there are no gaps. We put the package in a deep non-stick baking sheet, pour 1 cup of ordinary running water into it and send the container with the still raw dish into the oven preheated to the right temperature, placing it on the middle rack.

Bake turkey for 2 hours, periodically pouring water into a baking sheet so that the meat does not burn from below. After the required time has passed, open the oven, cut the top layer of foil with a knife and give the meat the opportunity to cover with a golden crust in a hot oven 10 to 15 minutes. After using kitchen tacks, remove the baking sheet from the oven, pry the stuffed drumstick on both sides with 2 kitchen spatulas and transfer it to a large flat dish without foil. When it cools down a little, cut the drumstick transversely into portions up to 1,5 centimeters and serve.

Step 5: serve the stuffed turkey drumstick.

Stuffed turkey drumstick is served hot as the main hot dish with a side dish or chilled as an appetizer to the festive table. In both cases, this dish is incredibly tasty. Very often stuffed drumsticks are used as slices for sandwiches. It tastes to the best of spicy, tender, almost crumbly taste, and only one thing can be said about the aroma - it’s simply delicious! Recipe Tips:

- This recipe uses a minimal classic set of spices - salt and black pepper. But if you wish, you can supplement it with your favorite spices, which are suitable for cooking meat dishes, such as sage, coriander, dried cilantro, basil, savory and many others.

- If desired, the filling can be supplemented with stewed carrots, fried minced meat, dried tomatoes, boiled corn, lettuce pepper, any fresh herbs, such as basil, parsley, dill, cilantro or green onions.

- Instead of hard cheese, you can use processed milk cheese.
