If you’ve never heard of a Paradise cocktail, you’re not alone, but you are missing out. It’s a classic cocktail, made from gin, apricot brandy and orange juice. Recently there has been a bit of a cocktail renaissance, dusting off old recipes and re-imagining them, and the Paradise cocktail is one that deserves its own comeback.

The Paradise cocktail has been around for a long time. The first known printed recipe for it was written in 1930 by Harry Craddock. But, that’s only what we know and it could have been created before then and just not published. It was widely popular before the Prohibition, too.

You’ve probably heard more about the Paradise cocktail than you know, but heard it called by its other name: Gin & Juice. Snoop Dogg not only sang a song called Gin and Juice, he set a world record on May 27, 2018 for the largest Gin and Juice. In typical Snoop fashion, he made a massive, 500 litre Paradise cocktail.

If you’re curious about what it tastes like, it’s more balanced and less dry than a gin martini. The gin is dry with floral notes, the brandy is sweet and fruity, and the orange juice both compliments them by adding citrusy flavors to them, and blends them together. And, because of its fruity, sweet nature, and the fact that it isn’t dry, it’s considered an aperitif, or “pre-dinner” drink. Jimmy Buffett Cheeseburger in Paradise

Cheeseburger in Paradise. What is this? It is a song written and performed by American prominent music singer Jimmy Buffett. Seems fun, right? There is a myth of the Cheeseburger in Paradise. But I am not going to discuss that myth.

This Cheeseburger in paradise calories will enrich your meal. So take a challenge now and make it for your family or friends.

Ingredients list:

  • 4 slices red onion, 1/4-inch thick
  • 4 toothpicks
  • 4 pickle spears
  • 2 pounds Idaho potatoes, peeled, cut into fries, and fried until golden brown
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 28 ounces fresh USDA choice beef chuck, diced
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 8 slices American cheese – 1 slice if any other kind of cheese
  • 4 sesame hamburger buns, toasted
  • 8 leaves iceberg lettuce
  • 4 slices tomato, 1/4-inch thick

Preparation steps:

  1. First, you should grind the meat using a meat grinder. Do it with a ⅜ inch plate.
  1. Then change to a ⅛ plate and grind it a second time.
  1. After shaping the ground meat into 4 patties in a mixing bowl, you have to combine the garlic salt, onion salt, kosher salt, and celery salt. Then mix them well.
  1. Then cook the burger to the desired temperature. You may flip over the burger before the finish.
  1. Cheese should be placed on the burger when it is cooked and melted. Then place the bun on a plate. You should do this step very consciously. Because this step is a very crucial part.
  1. After placing the burger on the bottom bun you should serially place lettuce, tomato, onion on the top of the burger. So easy. After finishing this, place fire on the plate. All done!

How to mix the paradise cocktail

We have gin, apricot brandy and orange juice. That&rsquos it. Easy peasy.

I get my cocktail shaker and fill it half way with ice.

Combine sugar and ¼ cup water in a jar, cover, and shake until sugar is dissolved.

Step 2

Combine Aperol, rum, pineapple juice, lime juice, and ¼ oz. syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Cover and shake vigorously 30 seconds. Strain into a glass filled to the brim with crushed ice and garnish with a pineapple leaf, if desired.
